Frequently Asked Questions

  • We have a main track aimed at more experienced and older riders and a smaller track aimed at younger and less confident riders. Both tracks are intended for bicycles, scooters, skateboards and roller blades.

  • We don’t have any designated parking at the pump track or the Recreation Grounds. We advise parking further afield and riding to the track to avoid congestion on the main road through Burley In Wharfedale. If you can get to Burley via public transport or under your own power, then even better.

  • Helmets must be worn on track by all riders. We appreciated we can’t police this, but please note how important it is to protect your head.

  • The track is open 24/7, 7 days a week. There is no lighting, so the track is only really ridable in daylight hours. The track is also free of charge to ride.

  • The Burley In Wharfedale Pump Track project was 100% community lead and funded through grants, fundraising initiatives and industry sponsors. There was no taxpayer money used to fund the track.
